When selecting an empty star, show the scan/jump rings of your empire

Would help to plan expansion

Each empire has its own seven tech levels.

Stars are either unclaimed or claimed by an empire.

A star that is owned by an empire will show the scan range and HR of that empire.

An unclaimed star has no empire, so can not show a scan range and can not show HR from it.

Shortcut key “V” is the multi-point ruler, which shows HR tech level required for any planned journey.

Thanks - missed the keyboard shortcut. Still think this would be helpful but can definitely work around it with the ruler.

I disagree. It’s extremely valuable to know what your enemy can scan / jump to, from stars of his that you click.

You can plan expansion by selecting a carrier to move and each star that’s in range is highlighted.

I agree with this request. If the star is not owned, it just makes sense to show your own empires technology ranges. If a star is owned by another player then it should continue to work as normal and show their ranges.

+1 on this request.

One workaround hack for this is to select a carrier, use shortcut key “W”= Waypoint Edit mode, select the unclaimed star as a destination, and then it would show your empire’s HR range from that unclaimed star.
