“Clicking on the icon once will centre the map on the player’s home star. Clicking twice will show the player’s Empire Summary Screen.”
This is incorrect; it’s clicking once that displays the empire summary while clicking twice centers the map.
edit: also, it doesn’t seem to actually center on the home star; rather it seems to be displaying a view zoomed and panned so that the player’s entire empire is visible.
The game has changed and evolved somewhat since Jay made those help files & video tutorials.
Sometimes those changes occur HOT while during the middle of a game. HA HA !
There have been other requests for Jay to fix out-of-date documentation.
Some help files have been updated, and some have not.
Searches withing this forum will find more current information.
I’ll try and update the help one day. Thanks for spotting it.
