If you claim a settlement, and get a hero card… Purchase it, and then ‘restore’ turn. You lose that hero from the current game.
Obviously you don’t get it again if you reclaim that same town (you fixed this not too long along due to exploitation.)
And the card is in your collection, and your coin is spent, so all is well there. But you still lose that hero from your current game.
